(n.) Mom-be: A sleep deprived supermom who feeds on caffeine and survives on sticky kisses and adorable smiles. Mombies are masters in multi-tasking and peace keeping.

If you can relate to the above quote like myself, I can assure you it’s time to take 5 and have a nice brew. Grab yourself a cuppa while I chat to you about mum-life, parenting woes and these ‘the joys of motherhood’ tea gifts by Victoria Mae Designs!

The Joys of Motherhood

I love being a Mum. It can be a challenge being a parent of one child, let alone two or more. My two are both aged 3 and under, and I won’t lie, it hasn’t been a walk in the park up until now… well there have been many walks in the park in that time, but they have often ended in tears and tantrums because 312,347,592 times on the roundabout just wasn’t enough, or even worse, the seesaw wasn’t in the shape of a dinosaur!

As ridiculous as these moments are, these are the moments that bring parents together the most! A way to unite against the wrath of the toddlers in order to survive another day in the world of parenting.   If there’s anything that can get us through those crazy days, it’s a cuppa with a mum-friend! Knowing you’re not the only person who can’t make it past 312,347,592 goes on the roundabout or find a dinosaur shaped seesaw, takes a great load off your mind. And do you know what else does?

Speaking of tea…

Victoria Mae hit the nail on the head with these beautiful, handmade and hand sewn ‘joys of motherhood’ tea gifts. They are such a perfect and thoughtful idea as a gift for a Mum, especially a Mum of small children. They are sooo relatable!

What’s it like having a toddler?”

– “Imagine trying to raise a heavily caffeinated chimpanzee who is allergic to sleep”

Giving a parent the gift of a tea break, reassurance, caffeine and a reminder that they’re not the only ones raising a ‘heavily caffeinated chimpanzee who is allergic to sleep’, would probably be one of the most appreciated gifts you could give!

If you’re a Mum reading this post, relating to everything and thinking ‘gosh, that’s my child and me!” Don’t wait for someone to buy you these. You could consider these as a ‘from Me to Me’ gift, and feel that realisation with your morning brew every day, that you are not alone. After all, we all need this sometimes!

To make these tea gifts extra special, they come in so many different flavours!

  • English Breakfast
  • Earl Grey
  • Darjeeling
  • Chamomile
  • Rooibos & Honeybush
  • Indian Spice Chai
  • Mint (spearmint)
  • Jasmine Green
  • Tea Cape Malay Chai
  • Pure Peppermint
  • Organic Green Tea
  • Honeybush

The only issue that I have, is that they look and smell almost too lovely to open!
